The great Indian adventure of 2013

Currently sitting on a (very, very) big plane on the first leg of my journey to India.
To be honest I am really surprised that I'm actually on this flight after a 777 crashed at SFO earlier today- I was able to catch a quick glimpse of the burnt out plane as we were taking off and to be honest it was a bit surreal to see it, not exactly up close, but in person.  Sending out good thoughts to everyone on board and hoping that this flight's questionable status as a result of the crash is the only hiccup for my trip.  (Selfish- I admit it- but there you go).

I'm obviously a terrible blogger and am only really reviving this to post updates about my trip, share photos, and hopefully share a bit of this experience with anyone curious about it.  Please do not expect anything really truly witty. Organized?  Sure.  Well written? Well, no.  Remember that I failed spelling in fourth grade and I have a degree in finance, not creative writing or anything even remotely similar to English :)  I use a lot of commas, write pretty much the same way I speak, and have terrible grammar.  I am often corrected -grammatically- by one of my best friends, for whom English is her third language.  nuff said.

In case you were wondering, here's the general plan:
- 6 July - 8 July - Travel.  Through London.  To India.
- 3 weeks in Kannur, Kerala for a "Yoga/ Meditation/ Cultural Exchange" Volunteer trip
- approx 10 days to roam about India and make my way to Mumbai to catch a flight to London
- 7 August- Leave Mumbai for a week and a half in London to hang out with friends, roam about town and maybe take a trip to Paris?
- 18 August- leave London for LA and a week in Southern California for a family reunion
- Back home in SF on 26 August!!

So with that, I'm going to leave you with a couple low res iPad photos and say goodnight in an effort to get some sleep.

Goodbye San Francisco!!

A little relaxation before attempting to pass the h*ll out and try to catch up on a bit of sleep!*
*yes Mom, I drank a LOT of water along with this...
